Frequently Asked Questions

What is the estimated initial investment cost?

Estimated initial investment costs vary, depending on the size of your spa location. Franchise fee, start up costs, equipment, supplies and working capital can range from $596,970 to $991,765. The franchise fee (included in the estimates) is $35,000 and is payable at the time the franchise agreement is signed.

The largest portion of the initial investment is leasehold improvement costs, which range between $300,000 to $600,000, depending on the size of your spa. If your landlord contributes to the cost of the build out, total leasehold improvement costs could be reduced by up to $60 per square foot.

Do you offer financing?

Not at this time, but The Woodhouse assists each franchise partner with securing appropriate loans through accredited lending institutions. The Woodhouse Day Spa is approved by the Franchise Registry program that enables SBA loan applications to be rapidly processed.

The number of employees will vary according to the size of your spa. Most of franchise partners serve as their own General Manager during the initial months of operation, while grooming their Spa Coordinator to assume responsibilities for the overall operation of the spa.

How long will it take to open The Woodhouse Day Spa once the franchise agreement is signed?

We begin our relationship immediately upon signing of the franchise agreement. Property search, design and layout of your facility, architectural drawings and selection of contractor of build-out can take up to six weeks. Once you are actually under construction, completion can come as quickly as 60 days. This time frame can be altered by various circumstances.

Do I need to have a license or registration to open a spa?
